List of Portland Based Editors

The post last week about an “editor needed for a culturally sensitive novel,” made me realize that this is one segment of Portland’s literary community this blog has largely overlooked.  In that post I asked for Portland based editors to contact me with their contact information so I can begin to create a list.  You can see that list here, along with the first two responses to that request.  If you are a Portland based editor (or know of one) please contact me with your contact information and I will make sure you get added.  I will also begin an earnest effort to find editors to add to the list as well.

Also, if you have any recommendations for other “lists” that pertain to Portland’s literary community you feel should be created, please feel free to leave those in the comments below.  Thank you for your help!

Portland Based Editor Needed For Culturally Sensitive Novel

I received a note in my inbox the other day from Melody Stromquist of Small Business Affinity asking if I could help find a Portland based editor for a client of hers.  Here are the details and contact information for anyone interested:

Looking for local editor in Portland Metro area.  New self publishing house has novel and trilogy that needs editor support.  Urban culture/gangsta lifestyle/anti-society topics and tone.  Must be able to balance traditional writing with Ebonics (dialogue in book).  If you are the right match, this could be a very regular job.  Most books out of this house will be in this subject frame.  Please contact business consultant, Melody Stromquist, for more information and a sample of the novel. melody@smallbizaffinity.com, 503-702-5541.
