Contribute

Contributing to Reading Local allows you to engage with a highly-targeted audience of literary lovers and doers.

There are a variety of ways you can contribute to Reading Local, including:

  • Submit an Event, New Release, News, or Directory listing
  • Review an Event, New Release, or Directory listing
  • Contribute an original review, interview, event preview or recap, essay, or profile to be posted on our blog.
  • Submit original fiction, creative non-fiction, or poetry for review and possible inclusion in special blog posts highlighting local writers.

Additionally, as we launch Reading Local in other locations we will need local editors who are plugged into their local literary communities, are passionate about promoting those communities, and who are excited about being part of a growing website dedicated to exposing independent literature. If this sounds like you, or if you’re interested in learning more details about what being a local editor entails, please contact our Publisher, Gabe Barber, at gabebarber@readinglocal.com.

We are currently targeting Seattle, Chicago, and Baltimore to launch our next community websites, but if you live outside of these areas we would be happy to hear from you too!
