The community lending library is located at Bitch Headquarters. A photo ID gets you an ongoing membership, which lets you take out five items at a time for a period of two weeks. In addition to offering over 2,000 items for check-out, the library hosts monthly book clubs. And every Tuesday night they provide vegan baked goods to visitors, courtesy of Dovetail Bakery.

North Portland Library began as the North Albina Reading Room in 1909. The current Jacobethan-style library was built in 1913 and renovated in 1999. Read more about North Portland Library history.

North Portland Library boasts a collection of books as well as audio and visual materials, periodicals and electronic resources in English and Spanish that can be accessed on site or from a home computer. North Portland customers have access to Multnomah County Library’s systemwide catalog of two million books and other library materials.

This library houses the Black Resource Collection, a special collection of scholarly and popular materials relating to the African-American experience.
