Earlier this year we posted about Microcosm Publishing expanding their SE storefront and rolling out their “zine trike,” and somewhat buried within that post was a hint from Microcosm’s Jessie Duke about yet another possible expansion.  Well, early last month that hint became a reality as they moved to a new location on 636 SE 11th Ave, which provides them with “enough room for events, more than 6 people to browse the store at once, and to do warehousing.”  They are sharing the location with Printed Matter and Eberhardt Press, and are now just a short walk from “vegan village” staples Food Fight Grocery, Herbivore Clothing, Sweatpea Bakery, and Red & Black Cafe! The new store is open everyday from 11am-7pm, features a $2-$4 table, and is doling out free “bikey stickers” to customers who ride their bike to the store on Sundays.

In further Microcosm news, they have launched a Kickstarter project to help with the reprinting of early issues of Erik Lyle’s beloved long-running zine Scam.  This new anthology will bring together Scam‘s first four issues, and due to the will cost $5,000 more than Microcosm’s typical print runs, hence the need for Kickstarter.  All kind’s of prizes await donors, a full list of which can be seen on the project page.  Here is a video from Microcosm with more info on the project:
