Just caught wind of this fun news from Hawthorne Books. Local author Monica Drake’s book Clown Girl published by Hawthorne books has been optioned for film rights by a somewhat surprising, but ultimately fitting source. Kristen Wiig of Saturday Night Live fame (also starring in the new ridiculous Macgyver spoof – Macgruber) has optioned the film herself and is looking to write and star in the adaptation.
