Our book discussion group is an informal and relaxed gathering, with a respectful, congenial, and inquisitive atmosphere. Every member of the group takes two to three minutes to give their overall impression of the book. After everyone has given their opening summary, the group is ready to engage in a more thorough discussion. Everyone will be given an opportunity to participate in the discussion, however participation is not a requirement. Listeners are welcome!

Roddy Doyle (Powells City of Books, @7:30pm): The Dead Republic (Viking) is the conclusion of Roddy Doyle’s bestselling trilogy that began with A Star Called Henry. Irish rebel Henry Smart ends up in Hollywood collaborating with legendary director John Ford on a script based on Henry’s life.
