It’s hard to believe that the awesome Loggernaut Reading Series has been hosting readings for five years, Loggernaut Reading Seriesbut it’s true.  Series founders Erin Ergenbright, Heather Larimer, and Jesse Lichtenstein have put some incredible people up on that stage, including Charles D’Ambrosio, Peter Rock, Cheryl Strayed, Matt Love, Rick Barot, Laila Lalami, Chelsea Cain, Tracy Daugherty, Gina Ochsner, Jonathan Raymond, Paul Collins, Monica Drake, Kevin Sampsell, Matthew Dickman, Diana Abu-Jaber, Rebecca Brown, Ehud Havazelet, Tom Spanbauer, Peter Fogtdal, Carrie Brownstein, Tom Bissell, and many more.

So you’re going to want to mark your calendar for Saturday May 1, when Loggernaut will be celebrating its fifth birthday at Urban Grind East.  (That’s 2214 NE Oregon Street.)  Word is, it’s going to be large.

Karen Munro's work has appeared in Glimmer Train, Grain, Hunger Mountain, The Pacific Northwest Reader, and elsewhere.
