We’ve received word of a great opportunity from the folks over at Indigo Editing. They will be hosting a youth writers workshop on January 30th (Next Saturday) to coincide with the submission deadline for their Spring Youth Issue of their Literary Journal Ink-Filled Page. Know a student from grades 6-12 who might like a chance to workshop their writing? Indigo Editing has got you covered.

Ink Splash

Ink Splash is an annual workshop for young writers offered in conjunction with the submission period for Ink-Filled Page’s Youth Issue. Join the editors and special guest poetry ambassador Celeste Thompson for an inspiring day of literary creation. The day will include poetry writing prompts as well as personal creation time. We’ll also workshop one of your poems or stories, highlighting your writing talent and offering suggestions for further exploration. Light refreshments will be provided. This workshop is geared toward young adults in grades 6–12.
When: Saturday, January 30, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Where: Writers’ Dojo, 7518 N. Chicago Ave., Portland
Cost: Free/$15 suggested donation. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Wordstock for Teachers.
Bring: Four copies of a poem or story to workshop
Note: The Writers’ Dojo is a no-shoes facility. Please feel free to bring fun slippers for the day’s event.
