wweek_giveguideA couple weeks ago we compiled a list of all the great Portland area literary non-profits that were chosen for the 2009 Willamette Week Give Guide.  With the December 31st deadline to donate fast approaching, I thought I would post one last reminder that all of these wonderful organizations are greatly deserving of your contributions.

Also, Willamette Week has partnered with several local retailers to provide a great collection of goodies to donors depending upon the dollar amount given:

The $25 coupon
Make sure to print it out and hang onto it in order to be eligible for the following: Free admission to a special Give!Guide show at Berbatis Pan on Jan. 15, 2010 (value: $10), free Powells pint glass to anyone who makes a purchase at Portland’s favorite bookseller between Jan. 1 and Jan. 24, 2010 (value: $4), $10 off any purchase of $50 or more at Community Warehouse’s Estate Store, 15% off swimwear at Popina Swim Portland’s bathing suit boutique, 2009 MusicfestNW compilation CD (while supplies last).

For donors of $50-$499
All of the above, plus: TriMet bus ticket (value: $2), coupon good for a medium beverage at Peet’s Coffee & Tea to the first 1,000 donors in this category (value: $4), track back card from Kiehl’s good for a deluxe sample (value: $2.50), free Reed’s elixir at New Seasons Market (with purchase of any Reed’s fourpack), free game of bowling at Grand Central Bowl (value: $5), a Scratch-ItSM Oregon Lottery ticket (You must be 18 or older to qualify).

For donors of $500-$999
Home delivery of a New Seasons Market recycled grocery bag containing a bottle of fine wine from E&R Wine Shop, a package of Stash Tea, and an envelope of coupons.

For donors of $1,000-$2,499: The same grocery bag and contents above, plus one pound of Peet’s coffee and a 22 oz. bottle of Ninkasi beer. All delivered to your home.

For donors of $2,500: Add a bottle of sparkling wine to that shopping bag and a visit with one of WW’s owners on your doorstep when either Mark Zusman or Richard Meeker makes your personal delivery.

Additionally, several of the non-profits are chipping in their own incentives for donors, including:

  • IPRC- “Donating just $25 through the Give!Guide will earn you a three-month IPRC membership, or extend/renew your current membership!”
  • Write Around- “A free pass to one of our writing workshops at HOTLIPS Pizza!
  • Literary Arts- “Donate $100 or more and get a pair of reserved tickets to see Christopher Hitchens on January 5!”
  • Live Wire-Donate $25 or more, we’ll give you a Best of Live Wire Music CD, featuring music from The Helio Sequence and a rare solo performance from Colin Meloy; Donate $50 or more, get a CD and a 2-for-1 voucher for an upcoming show; Donate $100 or more, you’ll get the CD, plus a pair of tickets to an upcoming show;  Donate $250 or more, you’ll get the CD and a pair of tickets to our Anniversary show and private After-Party;  Going nuts? At $500 or more..wait for it…all that PLUS your name as a character in a sketch.!”
  • Wordstock-Donate $10+ a 100% deductible tax deduction; Donate $25+ get GiveGuide! incentives and tax deduction; Donate $50+ get 2 tickets to the Wordstock festival and GiveGuide! incentives and tax deduction; Donate $100+ get 2 tickets to Wordstock’s opening night event, 2 to the festival, GiveGuide! incentives, and the tax deduction; Donate $250+ get tickets to join us at the Wordstock author reception, the opening night event, the festival and all the fabulous . And the tax deduction, of course!”
