Joe Hill, the writer who probably hates always being mentioned in conjunction with his father, is putting on a contest that runs through the end of March to support indie bookstores. The contest itself is pretty simple: 1) Go to a local indie bookstore, 2) Buy something that is more than $.99 from that store, and 3) Send a copy/picture/scanned image of the receipt to indie@joehillfiction.com. There will be “at least 24 winners, with a rare or limited edition of something going to each randomly drawn entry.” We are lucky to have several indie stores to choose from here in Portland.
