I ran across a couple interviews with two of our great Portland literary talents and thought I would share. The first is from Comic Book Resources and is with Greg Rucka.
Rucka talks about his upcoming work bringing “Batwoman to the pages of ‘Detective Comics’ in June’s issue #854, along with artist J.H. Williams III.” He also gives his take on the issue over Batwoman’s sexual orientation saying, “Yes, she’s a lesbian. She’s also a redhead. It is an element of her character. It is not her character. If people are going to have problems with it, that’s their issue. That’s certainly not mine. My job is to write the best book I can about a character that I think is exceptionally cool.”
The other interview is from PBS’ POV Blog and is with Arthur Bradford. Bradford talks about getting his project on to MTV, his response to concerns over the exploitation of the shows developmentally delayed individuals, as well as who has inspired him.
Both are great interviews, and we are lucky to count both Rucka and Bradford as Rose City neighbors.
